The sieges are the Ddraig colonies where they, the MorrĂgu, and the Morrighan reside. Sieges are located within nations but are autonomous and ruled by a Ddraig Empress. There may be more than one siege within a nation and each one is built around a central, near impregnable citadel. Almost all sieges are located in a mountainous region of the nation.

Homo-Sapiens are not native to Bridd. They arrived over many millennia in small trickles, tiny groups who had to cope with finding themselves transported to a place with creatures from their legends and nightmares. The Sidhe are one of the old races of the world, so old, that there is some dispute whether they or the Ddraig were the first of the ancient races. They wandered, grew, built realms and saw them fall, long before the younger Menfolk races arrived and began to shape the world. The Wyr are something of a mystery to many. Often termed 'wild things' or 'werebeasts', they are said to be the wild spirits of the forest lands, the guardians of the lost and other strange things.
